Charleston Lake Trip - Part 1

Day 1: Friday - It's Pouring

Took the day off from work on Friday and Saturday to go camping to Charleston Lake Provincial Park with family. I went camping earlier on Canada Day long weekend to enjoy the sereneness and awesome scenery nature has to offer however, this time the reason was for some serious fishing. The park is located east from Toronto and take about 4 hrs to get there.

The ride to Kingston was pretty bad. First the traffic jam on the 401 then rainstorm like i've never seen before the rest of the way. It was so bad that every cars on the highway turned on their hazard lights cuz the visibility was very bad. It was still raining when we arrived and as a result we had to wait till the rain died down a bit to set up camp.

Once the rain has stopped we spend the rest of the afternoon till evening fishing from the shore. To my surprise we caught at least 20 fishes varying in sizes from the shore. What even more surprising is that we caught them with those fake plastic baits.

Pics of the fish we caught

No stargazing that night cuz the sky is covered with clouds however, the fireflies did come out to light up the evening darkness. This trip was the first time i saw a lot of fireflies, usually i only see a couple but this time its everywhere. And o ya they glow from their ass.
