so...... i did got sumthin from SQ1 on tuesday, its been a while since i purchase a gundam model so this guy is the first one for the month of April. as u guys kno the store just got a massive shipment of gundam models and as a result there are so many models to choose from. when i looked around the store for the models , there are some models that caught my attention and i was willing to buy them , these models are 1/100 blitz, 1/144 aegis, 1/144 Jagd Doga, 1/100 launcher strike, 1/144 cherudim, and of course the guy that i bought. in my opinion all of these guys are rare because they are hard to get since some of them are released 5-7 years ago therefore chances of finding them are low. i spent a good 45 minutes in deciding which models to buy, at first i was about to buy the 1/100 blitz and the 1/144 aegis because both are cool and rare (unless u ebay) however, i remembered a fellow gunpla collector (alvin) wanted it soo.....i didnt get it and i didnt get the aegis because i already have a pink colored gundam that was piloted by the same guy.
in the end, i ended up with EX-S Gundam . this guy is one of the few HGUC models that i'm willing to buy. this model was released in 2002 ....so its pretty old and assumingly.. hard to get , this is prolly one of the reason y i got this guy and the other reason was because this guy is massive (i'll show u later wit box comparison) and have a lot of shz.
Heres the picture comparing this model wit a common 1/100 NGAs u can see the box size is the same and i assume it will be as tall as a regular 1/100 gundam models (one of the reason i chose this guy over the blitz)
rite now im feeling unsatisfied with getting only 1 gundam model. im thinking of buying the HG 1/144 HGUC Jagd Doga. this model appeared in the gundam movie char's counterattack, this is a cool model and hopefully wen i go back to SQ1 this model is still available. shit this is another long post

yo i check it out and the exia 1/100, cherudim 1/100 and seraphims 1/144 were all gone. the only ones left were the enacts. but i managed to get my hands on a gadessa. and why is everything so expensive? i think i know why. heres my explanation:
ReplyDeleteever since planet hobby ran out of gundams for sale (about a few months ago), the demand for these models has increased significantly. imagine a a downward sloping demand curve for these models and an upward sloping supply curve for Planet Hobby's supply and the point where they intersect determines the equilibrium price and quantity. increased demand shift the demand curve to the right, causing an upward shift on the price (the current recession might also have some part to the price increase). according to the law of supply, as prices increase the quantity supplied will increase as well (this explains the sudden major shipment they had at the beginning of this week).
so what can we do to bring the prices back down? stop buying these overpriced models. the law of demand states that as prices go up, demand will go down. if people stop buying, the prices will eventually drop back down to its original equilibrium point, but this means that quantity supply will drop as well. we may not have as much models to buy, but the prices wont be as bloated as they are now.
haha jks guy, go get that jagd while its still there (only $23 i think?)
